Partners Gillian Harwood and the late Philip Lancashire skillfully converted the building from a furniture warehouse into Forum House Business Centre back in 1982.

They were both renowned pioneers in the field of converting historic, often industrial buildings into office and retail spaces. Having won numerous awards for their achievements, they recognised the need and demand for such workspace in Chichester and created a design that incorporated offices, dry storage units and retail outlets.
